It’s Wednesday and time to take a look at what’s new on Disney+ in Canada today, which includes new episodes of “The Santa Clauses” and “Black Cake”, plus a brand new British documentary series about Formula One.

Here’s the rundown:

Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story

The series stars Keanu Reeves (“John Wick” and “The Matrix Resurrections”) as host and executive producer, in addition to Formula 1©legends Ross Brawn, Jenson Button, Nick Fry, Rubens Barrichello and Christian Horner. The unscripted documentary series hosted by Keanu Reeves tells the remarkable story of how Ross Brawn, in 2009, competing in the most expensive and technologically advanced racing series on Earth, made the impossible happen. His understaffed, underfinanced, and independent team won the World Championship taking on the biggest titans of the industry – all after purchasing the team for just £1. Go behind the scenes of this Formula 1© fairytale with the people who were there – on the track, in the garage and the boardroom – giving their own recounts of this miraculous year. With access to the F1 archives – much of it previously unseen – this series brings you along for the ride to victory, led by British F1 driver Jenson Button and Ross Brawn.

FX’s Welcome to Wrexham (S2)

In “Welcome to Wrexham,” Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds learn to run the third oldest professional football club in the world. In 2020, Rob and Ryan team up to purchase the fifth tier Red Dragons in the hope of turning Wrexham AFC into an underdog story the whole world can root for, but the concern is that neither have any experience in football or working with each other. From Hollywood to Wales, from the pitch to the locker room, and the front office to the pub, the docuseries will track Rob and Ryan’s crash course in football club ownership and the inextricably connected fates of a team and a town counting on two actors to bring some serious hope and change to a community that could use it.

The Interpreter Of Silence

In 1963, Eva Bruhns is a young woman who works as a Polish-to-German interpreter in Frankfurt. She lives with her parents, who run the restaurant Deutsches Haus. Eva is about to get engaged to a wealthy mail-order company heir when she receives a last-minute request to interpret in court: the city is preparing its first Auschwitz trial of former SS officers. Eva’s parents and her fiancé-to-be strongly disapprove. Eva has never heard of Auschwitz before, but something drives her to ignore their misgivings and accept the job. It is only when Eva starts interpreting that she grasps the extent of the National Socialist killing machine and gradually realizes that she has a personal connection to this place.
