WarnerMedia has announced what movies and shows will be coming to HBO Max in July. which will include many Disney and 20th Century Studios movies.

The reason they are going to HBO Max, rather than to Hulu or Disney+, is because of an existing deal with 20th Century Fox, which runs through to 2022.  Some of these movies are available on Disney+ in other countries.

Here are a few of the highlights:

Fantastic Four (Extended)

Four youngsters gain unique superpowers after being teleported to an alternate universe. They must unite and use their powers to fight against a computer mechanic, who transforms into an evil doctor.

The Big Year

Three avid bird-watchers pursue the winner’s title to achieve the world record of spotting the highest number of birds during the Big Year event as the title holds a special meaning for each one.

The Boy Who Could Fly

Kindly adolescent Milly (Lucy Deakins) moves in next door to autistic teen Eric Gibb (Jay Underwood). The mute Eric, whose parents were killed when he was 5 years old, lives with his hard-drinking uncle, Hugo (Fred Gwynne), and is obsessed with birds. His tendency to stand on rooftops and window ledges posed as if he’s flying alarms his social workers, but when Eric saves Milly from a potentially deadly fall, she begins to believe that the boy really can take flight.

Marvel’s Blade Trilogy

All three Blade movies will be available on HBO Max in July, these huge hits from the late 1990s stars Wesley Snipes as Blade, who is part-vampire and part-mortal, becomes a vampire hunter to protect human beings. He prevents vampires from taking control over the human race.

There are also some titles leaving HBO Max at the end of July, which could indicate some future Disney+ releases:

Rio

Captured by smugglers when he was just a hatchling, a macaw named Blu never learned to fly and lives a happily domesticated life in Minnesota with his human friend, Linda. Blu is thought to be the last of his kind, but when word comes that Jewel, a lone female, lives in Rio de Janeiro, Blu and Linda go to meet her. Animal smugglers kidnap Blu and Jewel, but the pair soon escape and begin a perilous adventure back to freedom — and Linda.

X-Men

Magneto kidnaps Marie, a young mutant, with the intention of using her powers to destroy humanity. However, the X-Men and Wolverine team up to save her and stop Magneto.

Aquamarine

A mermaid gets stranded at a beach resort but falls in love with a handsome lifeguard. She befriends two local girls and enlists their help to win his heart in exchange for a wish.

King Arthur

This Touchstone movie from 2004,  tells the story of the legendary Arthur, who a reluctant leader, wants to return the peace and stability of Rome. Before he can, a mission leads him to the conclusion that when Rome is captured, Britain will need a leader.
