It’s the start of a brand new week and time to take a look at what’s coming to Disney+ in Australia and New Zealand this week. There’s plenty of new content to look forward, including two brand new series, “Under The Banner Of Heaven” and “Ms Marvel”.

Wednesday – 8th June 2022

Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi – Episode 4

“Obi-Wan Kenobi” begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.

Ms Marvel – Episode 1

Marvel Studios’ “Ms. Marvel” is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?

Under the Banner of Heaven

As Detective Jeb Pyre investigates the murder of Brenda Wright Lafferty and her baby daughter in a suburb in the Salt Lake Valley, he uncovers buried truths about the origins of the LDS religion and the violent consequences of unyielding faith.

The Hardy Boys – Season 2 – New Episode

Frank and Callie make a shocking revelation about the Project Midnight test subjects, while Joe impatiently tries to enlist the help of J.B. Cox to get the power out of Frank.

Station 19 – Season 5 – New Episode

Andy’s fate remains unknown as a trial date is set. Meanwhile, Vic and Sullivan are approached by an unexpected guest, and the crew responds to a row of townhouses on fire.

American Dad – Season 17 – Episode 2

Stan is ashamed to wear casual clothes at a company barbecue.

Man of The Arena – Episode 10

Tom Brady shares a personal account of his 10 Super Bowl appearances, deconstructing the milestones of his career by exploring each victory and defeat.

Tyrant – Season 1-3

Barry, the youngest son of a Middle Eastern dictator, runs away from his house and settles down in the States with his family. When he returns to his home country, he gets involved in politics.

Africa’s Deadliest – Season 7

The filmmaker gives an insight into the wildlife of Africa and how they have evolved over time to survive and sustain themselves.

Superstar, Episode 7: Patrick Swayze

Profiling iconic actor Patrick Swayze and his rise to fame; featuring interviews with co-stars Demi Moore, Tony Goldwyn, Liam Neeson and others close to him.

Sifting through “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Jen Shah’s alleged involvement in a telemarketing scheme that preys on the elderly and the criminal charges that she faces.

Mirrors

Ben guards a partly destroyed property during the nights but begins to see strange images in its impeccable mirrors. After his sister is killed, he is convinced that evil forces are out to get him.

Down with Love

Catcher Block, a journalist, vows to seduce a writer, Barbara Novak, who preaches that women do not need men to make them happy. However, he starts falling for her while carrying out his ploy.

Entrapment

Virginia, an insurance agent, sets out to nab MacDougal, a master thief who steals exquisite pieces of art. To do so, she masquerades as a thief herself and together they steal priceless artefacts.

Guilty by Suspicion

Owing to his alleged involvement with communist parties, film director David Merrill is forbidden from working in Hollywood. He decides to fight for his rights and faces numerous challenges.

Meet the Spartans

Leonidas, a young Spartan warrior, takes a handful of warriors along with him on a mission to bring down an evil, overweight Persian ruler, Xerxes.

Runaway Jury

Celeste, a widow, sues Vicksburg Firearms, the company responsible for making the weapon that killed her husband. However, the jury is up for sale and it will pass the verdict to the first bidder.
