It’s the weekend, and with so much choice out there to watch, especially in the run-up to Christmas, I’ve picked out some of my suggestions of what to watch on Disney+ and Hulu this week.

Here’s the rundown:

CMA Country Christmas Special

It’s Christmas, and once again, ABC has released a new CMA Country Christmas special featuring some of today’s biggest country music stars performing Christmas songs. The lineup includes Amy Grant, Trisha Yearwood, Jordan Davis, Lady A, Ashley McBryde with Stirling, Jon Pardi, The War And Treaty, and Zach Williams with Lainey Wilson.

This special features some great performances and that special holiday spirit to get you into the mood. This is a great background telly to pop on while you are wrapping presents.  I’ve had it on today while working and plan to pop it on again a few more times over the next week in the run-up to Christmas. It’s just nice to have some different takes on some classics.

“CMA Country Christmas Special” is out now on Hulu and Disney+.

A Murder At The End Of The World

The penultimate episode of this FX limited series was released around the world this past week, and if you haven’t already gotten into the show, this weekend might be a good time to do a binge catch-up.

“A Murder at the End of the World” is a mystery series featuring a Gen Z amateur sleuth and tech-savvy hacker “Darby Hart.” Darby and eight other guests are invited by a reclusive billionaire to participate in a retreat at a remote location. When one of the other guests is found dead, Darby must use her skills to prove it was murder before the killer takes another life.

I’ve been watching this series each week and have been enjoying it. It’s sometimes a little slow in how it gets to the point, with some unnecessary flashbacks to try to set something up, but overall, it’s worth checking out.

“A Murder At The End Of The World” is out now on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ in the US and on Disney+ around the world.

Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny

The latest film in the Indiana Jones franchise has been added to Disney+ this month and if you haven’t already seen it, it sees the daredevil archaeologist Indiana Jones racing against time to retrieve a legendary dial that can change the course of history. Accompanied by his goddaughter, he soon finds himself squaring off against Jürgen Voller, a former Nazi who works for NASA.

With the film being released on Disney+ in the UK on Friday, I’m going to be rewatching the film with my wife on Sunday afternoon, with the heating on and maybe see if I can have one of the snacks out of the Christmas cupboard that I’m not allowed near till Christmas Eve!

Moving

This week, Disney released the dubbed version of the mega-hit from Korea, which has broken records and won awards. The show is about a group of innocent teenagers with extraordinary abilities who go head-to-head with some of the world’s most powerful governments.

It’s a show I’ve been looking forward to watching, but generally, with subtitled shows, I have a tendency to drift off and become lost. So, I’ve been waiting for the dubbed version to arrive to catch up on this unique superhero series. I’ve already watched a few episodes this week and plan to catch up on some more over the weekend.

“Moving” is out now on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ in the US and on Disney+ around the world.
