What To Watch On Disney+ This Winter

As the nights start drawing in, the kids return to school, and we get ready for the winter, peak TV time is upon us, and I wanted to take a look at five things I’m looking forward to watching on Disney+ before the year’s out.

Here are some of the things I’m looking forward to watching on Disney+ and Hulu in the next few months:

Vision Quest

Vision, rebooted and having escaped from those who sought to weaponise him, has been in hiding. Searching for new meaning, he consults the AI personas embedded in his programming, including Friday, Edith, Jarvis, and the infamous Ultron. His discreet existence ends when a bounty placed on his head thrusts him on the run with Thomas Shepard, a mysterious boy who may be Vision’s son, reincarnate.

Without question, the number one thing I want to watch on Disney+ this winter is the brand new series from Marvel.  The third instalment in the “WandaVision” trilogy looks to be something very unique that we wouldn’t typically see from a traditional Marvel film.  Plus, with the return of Ultron, this just looks way too interesting!

The new Marvel series is coming to Disney+ on October 14th 2026.

Percy Jackson And The Olympians – Season 3

In the third season, the stakes are higher than ever before as Percy is faced with the sudden disappearance of Annabeth and the impending Great Prophecy provided by the Oracle of Delphi, dictating the fate of Olympus. As foretold by the Oracle of Delphi, one demigod child of the “Big Three” is fated to raise Olympus to new heights or bring it crashing into ruin, with their own life hanging in the balance.

The biggest Disney+ original series returns for a third season ahead of the holidays (and Harry Potter!), and I’m really looking forward to seeing more adventures of this trio.  I’ve become exceedingly interested in this franchise this year as I’m going on vacation to Greece and learning more about Greek mythology, which hopefully will help me understand some of the details in this show even more.

The third season of “Percy Jackson” will arrive on Disney+ on November 20th 2026.

Rivals – Season 2 – Part 2

Picking up after the gut-wrenching mid-series finale, Tony Baddingham and Declan O’Hara’s battle for the Cotswolds crown reaches fever pitch, while Rupert Campbell-Black is forced to confront his own personal demons. Against a backdrop of hedonistic parties, Bonfire Night chaos, the Hampshire Hunt Ball and a turbulent Christmas, affairs unravel, alliances fracture and rivalries intensify. Caught in the middle of the frenzied franchise war, Taggie O’Hara must find the courage to follow her heart, while those around her face the consequences of ambition, power and secrets that can no longer remain hidden. But as series two draws to a close, who will get their happy ending?

“Rivals” is extremely British and unlike anything else out there on Hulu and Disney+, the storylines are raunchy, the cast is fabulous and I’ve loved the previous seasons, so can’t wait to see more!

The new season will return to Disney+ on November 11th, with a three-episode premiere in the UK and internationally, and Hulu in the U.S.

Avengers: Endgame: Encore

Just ahead of the release of “Avengers: Doomsday”, Disney is re-releasing the epic conclusion to the Infinity Saga in theatres as “Avengers: Endgame: Encore”, which will also be coming to Disney+ at a later date.

The film became a critically acclaimed worldwide phenomenon and featured the dramatic showdown that pitted the Avengers against the universe’s most powerful villain, Thanos. After devastating events wiped out half the world’s population, the remaining heroes struggle to move forward. Ultimately, they must come together to restore order and harmony in the universe and bring their loved ones back.

While the film is being re-released in cinemas for a limited time, and while some might argue that that might be the “best” way to see it ahead of “Doomsday”, personally, I’m just going to wait until they pop the new version onto Disney+ so I can watch it in the comfort of my living room and also rewatch any of the new footage they’re adding a few times!

Only Murders In London

For the sixth season of “Only Murders In The Building” the team are heading across the pond, which is going to make it a little more interesting.   After successfully bringing the guilty to justice once again, Charles, Oliver and Mabel embark on their hardest case yet when the next victim – Cinda Canning – arrives at their doorstep, summoning them to London to catch her killer. Our beloved trio of true crime-solving podcasters must now navigate their way through the home of the cosy murder mystery, replete with a whole new collection of suspicious and particularly English-eccentric characters. But can they follow in the footsteps of the woman whose podcast started it all for them … without having their story end the same as hers?

I’ve been enjoying this show since it debuted and the added fact its set in the UK, with lots of special guests, I’m very excited to see what happens in this new season.

“Only Murders in London” premieres December 8th 2026, on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally. New episodes stream Tuesdays.
