Last week, during Star Wars Celebration, Lucasfilm released a teaser trailer for the upcoming Disney+ Original series, “Ahsoka,” which stars Rosario Dawson in the title role. Set after the fall of the Empire, “Ahsoka” follows the former Jedi knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
“Ahsoka” also stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla. Along with David Tennant as Huyang and . The series also stars Ray Stevenson and Hayden Christensen is also rumoured to return as Anakin Skywalker in a flashback scene. The series is written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Karen Gilchrist is co-executive producer. It will be directed by Dave Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Patel, and Rick Famuyiwa.
Deadline has also revealed today that Wes Chatham is going to star in the series and will be playing the right-hand man to Grand Admiral Thrawn, who will be played by Lars Mikkelsen in the series.
Wes Chatham has previously starred in “The Expanse”, “Hunger Games”, and “Tenet”.
“Ahsoka” will debut exclusively on Disney+ in August 2023.
