Disney has announced a special promotion for Disney+ subscribers in the United States, offering the Disney Dining Plan for free for those who are planning on going to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, this summer and book select vacation packages directly with Disney.

This offer will be available from January 3rd 2024, for visits between July 1st 2024 through to September 30th 2024, on a non-discounted 4-night, 4-day Walt Disney Travel Company package that includes a room at a select Disney Resort hotel and theme park ticket with a Park Hopper option.

The Disney Dining Plan offers a wide selection of options for families and includes a certain number of meals and snacks based on the number of nights of your stay, and there are over 200 dining locations to choose from across all of Disney World!

The Disney Dining Plan offers Per guest (ages 3 and over), per night of your stay:

  • 1 Quick-Service meal
  • 1 Table-Service meal
  • 1 non-alcoholic/alcoholic drink per meal
  • 1 selected snack or drink
  • Resort-refillable mug (1 per person, per trip)

There is a wide selection of restaurants to try out, including the all-you-care-to-enjoy Polynesian-inspired dinner at ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, plus many fantastic places at Disney Springs (my personal favourite is The Boathouse).

The quick-service offering is much more useful when you’re in the middle of the theme park and just want something quick to eat, like pizza or hamburgers.  Or alternatively, you can use it in the morning to get yourself a breakfast with a Mickey Waffle with some maple syrup (always a must-do!).

This package also includes snacks, which could be the infamous Dole Whip pineapple ice cream or maybe stack them all up and grab a load of Goofy Candy for the trip back home!   I’ve used the Disney Dining Plan before and it does make a trip to the resort really enjoyable, but be aware you need to use the Disney My Experience app to book in many of the major restaurants in advance to make sure you get a table booking, as they can go very quickly.

During the pandemic, Disney removed the Disney Dining Plan due to an increase in visitors, but as travel numbers have returned to normal, Disney is now once again offering this bonus to encourage more guests to visit during quieter times.

Disney+ subscribers can visit DisneyWorld.com/SpecialOffers from January 3rd 2024, for additional offer details, including up to 35% off trips throughout the year.

If you’re planning on heading to Disney World during July and September, it might be worth getting a Disney+ subscription to take advantage of this deal.
