Walt Disney Studios Picks Up 10 BAFTA Nominations
The nominations for this year’s 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards have been announced. The event celebrates the very best in film over the past year and Disney has picked up ten nominations.
Searchlight Pictures’ latest release, “A Complete Unknown,” received the most nominations for Disney, with six awards, including Best Film and Best Actor. “A Real Pain also received two nominations, including Best Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor.
Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” was nominated for Best Animated Film and “Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes” also picked up a nomination for Best Visual Effects.
The EE BAFTA Film Awards ceremony will once again be held at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall in central London, and broadcast on Sunday 16th February 2025 on BBC One and iPlayer in the UK, stream on BritBox International in North America, and be available on BritBox on demand in the Nordics and Australia.
Jane Millichip, CEO of BAFTA, said in a statement regarding the award nominations:
“The 42 films nominated today span a fantastically broad spectrum of genres with enormous breadth in creative expression; from the most intimate character pieces to epic societal commentaries via genre-bending dramas, musicals and comedies. The film industry has delivered in spades once again. We look forward to acknowledging this amazing body of work at the 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards. With just over a month to go, we encourage film fans everywhere to watch as many films as possible – there really is something for everyone. And, depending where in the world you live, please tune in on 16 February to BBC One, iPlayer, BritBox, and many other platforms worldwide.”

“Inside Out 2” is out now on Disney+. “Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes” is available to stream now on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ internationally. “A Real Pain” is coming to Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ on Thursday 16th January 2025. “A Complete Unknown” is out now in cinemas and will be coming to Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ internationally later this year.
