As we get ready to wrap up 2023, Walt Disney Studios has confirmed some of its major releases coming to Disney+ in 2024, which includes many new series from Marvel and Star Wars.

Here’s what’s been confirmed to be heading to Disney+ in 2024, including:

• Echo – 10th January 2024 – Marvel
• Agatha: Darkhold Diaries – Fall 2024 – Marvel
• Eyes Of Wakanda – Marvel
• Win Or Lose – Pixar
• Star Wars: The Acolyte – Lucasfilm
• Star Wars: The Bad Batch – Season 3 – Lucasfilm
• Star Wars: Skeleton Crew – Lucasfilm
• X-Men ’97 – Marvel
• Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man – Marvel

The list also doesn’t include any new releases from its television studios like FX, ABC, 20th Television, Disney Channel, and National Geographic.

Many other shows and series are heading to Disney+ in 2024. However, with Disney reducing how much content they are creating to save money and to spread out its content due to the strike and to reduce franchise burnout, some previously announced titles are likely to be bumped into 2025, like “Star Wars: Andor”. 

Hopefully, The reduced lineup will allow the creatives more time to make better shows for Disney+. 

While Marvel Studios is still releasing five series in 2024, only two of them are live-action and “Echo” is going to be released all at once on January 10th 2024, meaning it’ll be close to nine months until the release of “Agatha: Darkhold Diaries”.    The three Marvel animated series will give die-hard fans something to enjoy in the meantime, but they are likely to be skipped by most casual fans.

Star Wars fans also have two live-action series to look forward to, though originally “Skeleton Crew” was going to come out in 2023, but was bumped back, which helped space out the releases, meaning it has been a few months between shows.

Here’s a brief look at some of the Disney+ Originals heading to our screens in 2024:

Echo

The series tells the origin story of Maya Lopez, whose ruthless behaviour in New York City catches up with her in her hometown. She must face her past, reconnect with her Native American roots, and embrace the meaning of family and community if she ever hopes to move forward.

Star Wars: The Acolyte

The series is a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era. A former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever anticipated.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew

“Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” tells the story of four kids who find themselves lost in the vastness of the galaxy trying to find their way home.
