With 2024 coming to a close, Walt Disney Studios has confirmed its release schedule for 2025, which includes many major new releases from its other studios, such as Pixar, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, Searchlight Pictures, and 20th Century Studios.

2025 will see Disney fully embrace theatrical releases, with a new movie being released almost every month, plus they have a couple more movies to add to the schedule.

Many new original series will be heading straight to Disney+ in 2025, including the first series from Pixar, a second season of “Andor: A Star Wars Story,” and the return of Daredevil!

Marvel Studios will have a bumper year with three theatrical movies, three live-action series and three animated shows, bringing many characters from previous instalments back for new adventures. 

Pixar will be bringing its newest film, “Elio,” to our screens after more than a year of delay, and its first-ever series, “Win Or Lose,” will finally be released on Disney+ after many delays.

Here’s the entire Walt Disney Studios schedule:

Disney has also confirmed there are two other titles scheduled to arrive in 2025, but currently don’t have a release date:

• DELIVER ME FROM NO WHERE (20^th Century / Theatrical)
• UNTITLED LILY JAMES PROJECT (20^th Century / Hulu)

This release schedule is based on the United States calendar, so there might be some regional differences for some titles internationally.

I would also expect to see some more films from Searchlight Pictures and National Geographic added to this schedule, but those tend to be announced much nearer their release date.   It’s also worth pointing out that this list doesn’t include any new releases from Disney’s television studios.

All of these theatrical releases will also be released on Disney’s streaming services after their theatre exclusive contracts end, usually three months after they are released.

It’s also interesting to see how there is currently only a single movie, the Untitled Lily James Project, which is scheduled to be released directly onto Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and Disney+ internationally.  Every other movie from Walt Disney Studios is now getting a theatrical release.
