This is probably the best thing Disney has put out featuring the Muppets and highly recommended for any Disney theme park fan.

49) Obi-Wan Kenobi

“Obi-Wan Kenobi” begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader. If you loved watching Ewan McGregor as Kenobi in the prequel films, this is a must-see!

Stepbrothers Phineas and Ferb, their older sister Candace, Perry the Platypus and the Danville gang are back together again in “Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against the Universe,” an out-of-this-world animated adventure from Disney Television Animation. Executive-produced by Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh (creators and executive producers of the long-running Emmy Award-winning series “Phineas and Ferb”), the movie centers on Phineas and Ferb as they set out across the galaxy to rescue Candace, who after being abducted by aliens, finds utopia in a far-off planet, free of pesky little brothers. It’s not anything groundbreaking or original, it might not have worked at the cinema, but it’s the perfect Disney+ movie, as it’s a fun enjoyable film to sit down at home, grab some snacks, pull the blanket over, since its fun, full of cute dogs and has a simple love story.

This is a great animated series from Marvel, with unique stories that Marvel fans will love. All three seasons are available to stream now on Disney+.

44) Star Wars: Visions

As a first formal venture into anime, this series of “Star Wars: Visions” shorts bears a unique Japanese sensibility, which in many ways aligns with the tone and spirit of Star Wars storytelling. From the beginning, stories told in the Star Wars galaxy have counted Japanese mythology and the films of Akira Kurosawa among their many influences, and these new visions will further explore that cultural heritage through the unique animation style and perspective of each anime studio. In the second season, there’s a shift to featuring different animation studios from around the world, resulting in some very unique stories.  If you ever fancied something a little different from the Star Wars universe, this is something worth investigating. A third season is also on the way.

From Executive Producers Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia and Brian Volk-Weiss, explore how Imagineers filled the Haunted Mansion with 999 happy haunts, how the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ transformed into Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! This classic British series heads to Disney+ around the world (except for the UK) and sees the Doctor and his companion, Ruby Sunday, travel across time and space, with adventures all the way from the Regency era in England to war-torn future worlds. Throughout their adventures in the TARDIS – a time-traveling ship shaped like a police box – they encounter incredible friends and dangerous foes, including a terrifying bogeyman and the Doctor’s most powerful enemy yet. As a Doctor Who fan for decades, this has been a fantastic modern take on the franchise, and there are also multiple specials available on Disney+ as well.   A second season is coming to Disney+ later this year.

40) Win Or Lose

Pixar’s first original series follows intertwined stories of eight different characters as they each prepare for their big championship softball game. 39) Soul

“Soul” introduces Joe Gardner (voice of Jamie Foxx) – a middle-school band teacher who gets the chance of a lifetime to play at the best jazz club in town. But one small misstep takes him from the streets of New York City to The Great Before – a fantastical place where new souls get their personalities, quirks and interests before they go to Earth. Determined to return to his life, Joe teams up with a precocious soul, 22 (voice of Tina Fey), who has never understood the appeal of the human experience. As Joe desperately tries to show 22 what’s great about living, he may just discover the answers to some of life’s most important questions. This is one of the most heartwarming Pixar movies that will make you question what you’re doing with your life and the meaning of life, pretty deep stuff for adults, while having plenty of fun characters to keep children entertained. Check out my review of Soul/. And if you enjoyed “Soul”, why not check out the prequel short “22 vs Earth” too.

Kugali filmmakers—including director Olufikayo Ziki Adeola, production designer Hamid Ibrahim and cultural consultant Toluwalakin Olowofoyeku—take viewers on a unique journey into the world of “Iwájú,” bursting with unique visual elements and technological advancements inspired by the spirit of Lagos. This is another fantastic series that’s very unique from any other Disney animated series released lately.

33) Hocus Pocus 2

It’s been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th-century sisters, and they are looking for revenge. Now it is up to three high-school students to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallow’s Eve.  This spooky sequel is well worth checking out this Halloween season.

32) Safety

“Safety” is a drama inspired by the empowering story of former Clemson University football safety Ray McElrathbey (Jay Reeves), a young man facing a series of challenging circumstances, whose dedication and persistence help him to triumph over repeated adversities. Aided by his teammates and the Clemson community, he succeeds on the field while simultaneously raising and caring for his 11-year-old brother, Fahmarr (Thaddeus J. Mixson). A very lovely family drama that is well worth checking out.

With the help of a driven young music executive, Nora, the old-school Muppet band comes face to face with the current day music scene as they try to finally record their first studio album. If you enjoy the Muppets, this new series could be worth investigating.

30) Zombies 3

In the third film in the franchise, it’s Zed and Addison’s final year at Seabrook and things are better than ever. The town has finally accepted monsters as a part of Seabrook and has become a safe haven for monsters and humans alike. Zed is on the cusp of receiving a football scholarship and becoming the first Zombie to ever attend college (and he’s excited to join Addison who has already been admitted). Addison is excited to mark the opening of the town’s brand new “cheer pavilion” by inviting cheer teams from all over the world to compete in an “international cheer-off.” However, the town is shocked by the arrival of a new group of intergalactic outsiders – Aliens, who show up to compete in the cheer-off. Though they begrudgingly allow the Aliens to stay for the competition – the monsters and humans of Seabrook grow suspicious when they discover that the Aliens may be looking for more than a friendly competition.

29) Ahsoka

Set after the fall of the Empire, “Star Wars: Ahsoka” follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy. For fans of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”, seeing Ahsoka get her own live-action show is certainly a highlight, and it’s one of my favourite Star Wars shows so far.

28) Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man

This new original animated series follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming a hero, with a journey unlike we have ever seen and a style that celebrates the character’s early comic book roots. The show is set in its own multiverse and has already been renewed for two more seasons, showing the faith that Disney has in this series and why you should check it out.

27) Monsters At Work

“Monsters At Work” takes place the day after the Monsters, Incorporated power plant started harvesting the laughter of children to fuel the city of Monstropolis, thanks to Mike and Sulley’s discovery that laughter generates ten times more energy than screams. 26) Ms Marvel

Marvel Studios’ “Ms. Marvel” is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a superhero megafan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets superpowers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with superpowers, right? This Marvel series is so charming and well worth your time.

25) Chip ‘n’ Dale”: Rescue Rangers

Chip and Dale are living amongst cartoons and humans in modern-day Los Angeles, but their lives are quite different now. It has been decades since their successful television series was cancelled, and the former pals have gone their separate ways, so when a former castmate mysteriously disappears, they must take on their Rescue Rangers detective personas to save their friend. If you’re a fan of “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”, check this one out.

24) Agatha All Along

The infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself down and out of power after a suspicious goth Teen helps break her free from a distorted spell. Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing. Together, Agatha and this mysterious Teen pull together a desperate coven, and set off down, down, down The Road…. This original series took Disney+ by storm last year and surprised many Marvel fans, who weren’t expecting much from this “WandaVision” spin-off, only to be blown away by how good it was.

23) The Beatles: Get Back

The Beatles: Get Back” takes audiences back in time to the band’s January 1969 recording sessions, which became a pivotal moment in music history. The docuseries showcases The Beatles’ creative process as they attempt to write 14 new songs in preparation for their first live concert in over two years. Faced with a nearly impossible deadline, the strong bonds of friendship shared by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr are put to the test. The docuseries is compiled from nearly 60 hours of unseen footage shot over 21 days. It’s a must for Beatles fans.  Plus the original film, “Let It Be” has also been restored and released on Disney+.

22) Star Wars: The Bad Batch

“Star Wars: The Bad Batch” follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in “The Clone Wars”) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of Bad Batch—a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army—each possess a singular exceptional skill that makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew. The series ran for three seasons and if you enjoyed “The Clone Wars” or “Rebels”, then this new animated series should be on your watch list.

21) Secrets Of The Whales

“Secrets of the Whales,” from National Geographic, plunges viewers deep within the epicenter of whale culture to experience the extraordinary communication skills and intricate social structures of five different whale species: orcas, humpbacks, belugas, narwhals and sperm whales. Filmed over three years in 24 locations, throughout this epic journey, we learn that whales are far more complex and more like us than we have ever imagined. This is an epic documentary series and highly recommended. There are also some other seasons featuring Elephants, Octopuses and Penguins.

20) High School Musical: The Musical – The Series

A group of East High students countdown to the opening night of their school’s first-ever production of “High School Musical.” Showmances blossom; friendships are tested while new ones are made; rivalries flare, and lives are changed forever as these young people discover the transformative power that only a high school drama club can provide.   With four seasons to enjoy, this show is one series not to skip.

19) Descendants: The Rise Of Red

This is the fourth instalment in the “Descendants” franchise and tells the story of former Villain Kid Uma, who is now the headmaster who extends an invite to the school to another VK – Red, the rebellious daughter of the tyrannical Queen of Hearts from Wonderland. The Queen of Hearts has long held a grudge against Auradon, especially against Cinderella, and seizes the opportunity to seek revenge when she drops her daughter off at school. When the Queen of Hearts incites a coup against Auradon, Red must team up with Cinderella’s perfectionist daughter Chloe as they travel back in time to try to undo the traumatic event that set the young Queen of Hearts down her villainous path.

18) Imagineering Story

Easily my favourite series on Disney+. Explore the past, present and future of Walt Disney Imagineering with noted filmmaker Leslie Iwerks. Ms. Iwerks comes from a family with deep Disney history — her grandfather was an early Disney animator and her father is a former Imagineer — and her previous work includes profiles of Pixar Animation Studios and visual effects house Industrial Light & Magic. The entire series is now available on Disney+ and is a must for any Disney theme park fan.

17) Dream Productions

The first limited series from Pixar is “Dream Productions” and is a spin-off of “Inside Out” and takes place within the mind of the young girl Riley, her Core Emotions Joy, Disgust, Anger, and the rest send her memories down to the filmmaking team at Dream Productions. There, the team morphed her memories into the wacky and sometimes terrifying dreams she had while growing up.  A lovely animated series that I really enjoyed and is a great addition to the “Inside Out” franchise.

16) The Falcon And The Winter Soldier

Marvel Studios’ “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson aka The Falcon, and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier. The pair, who came together in the final moments of “Avengers: Endgame,” team up on a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience. This series is one of the most popular original shows to arrive on Disney+ and is worth a month’s subscription on its own. It’s also an important step to set up “Captain America: Brave New World”.

15) Goosebumps: The Vanishing

Based on the classic book series, “Goosebumps” is a fantastic spooky series for Disney+ subscribers and in the second season, which is “Goosebumps: The Vanishing”, it tells the story of what happens when fraternal twins Devin and Cece are adjusting to life with their recently divorced dad, Anthony. When the duo discovers a stirring threat, they quickly realize that dark secrets are among them, triggering a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, Devin, Cece and their friends — Alex, CJ and Frankie — find themselves entangled in the chilling tale of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994. If you enjoy this show, check out the “Goosebumps” show as well.

14) Skeleton Crew

After four youngsters make an incredible discovery on their home planet, they find themselves lost and far away from home. They meet both friends and foes as they journey through the wonders and perils of the galaxy far, far away as they try to get home.  This fantastic new Star Wars series brings together elements of the classic 80s movies and delivers one of the best Star Wars adventures in years!

13) Hamilton

One of the biggest and most popular Disney+ Originals released, it’s an unforgettable cinematic stage performance, the filmed version of the original Broadway production of “Hamilton” combines the best elements of live theater, film and streaming to bring the cultural phenomenon to homes around the world for a thrilling, once-in-a-lifetime experience. “Hamilton” is the story of America then, told by America now. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, “Hamilton” has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theatre—a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education.

12) Moon Knight

When Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life, he discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt. This series is a must-watch for any Marvel fan.

11) Star Wars: The Clone Wars

The 7th season of the show is a Disney+ exclusive and fills in the story between “Attack of the Clones” and “Revenge Of The Sith”, where Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Mace Windu and other Jedi Knights lead the Grand Army of the Republic against the droid army of the Separatists. Plus there are over a hundred episodes from previous seasons, making this one of the most binge-worthy shows on Disney+.

10) Young Woman And The Sea

This lovely British movie starring Daisy Ridley tells the real life story of Trudy Ederle overcomes adversity and the animosity of a patriarchal society to rise through the ranks of the Olympic swimming team and complete a 21-mile trek from France to England. Easily one of the best movies released exclusively on Disney+ so far.

9) Turning Red

This brand new original film introduces Mei Lee (voice of Rosalie Chiang), a confident, dorky 13-year-old torn between staying her mother’s dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence. Her protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming (voice of Sandra Oh), is never far from her daughter—an unfortunate reality for the teenager. And as if changes to her interests, relationships and body weren’t enough, whenever she gets too excited (which is practically ALWAYS), she “poofs” into a giant red panda!

8) X-Men ’97

Marvel Animation’s “X-Men’97” revisits the iconic era of the 1990s with a revival of the original animated series and sees The X-Men, a band of mutants who use their uncanny gifts to protect a world that hates and fears them, are challenged like never before, forced to face a dangerous and unexpected new future. Without a doubt, this is one of the best shows on Disney+, especially if you’re like me and grew up on the original show.

7) Daredevil: Born Again

In Marvel Television’s “Daredevil: Born Again,” which is a continution of the former Netflix Original shows, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer with heightened abilities is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course. This is a very different tone for a Disney+ Original, and for fans of the original Daredevil show, you won’t be disappointed.

6) Luca

Set in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera, Disney and Pixar’s original feature film “Luca” is a coming-of-age story about one young boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides. Luca (voice of Jacob Tremblay) shares these adventures with his newfound best friend, Alberto (voice of Jack Dylan Grazer), but all the fun is threatened by a deeply-held secret: they are sea monsters from another world just below the water’s surface. This is a lovely, feel-good Pixar film that I adored.

5) Percy Jackson & The Olympians

Based on the popular book series, this series sees Percy Jackson head out on a dangerous quest. Outrunning monsters and outwitting gods, he must journey across America to return Zeus’ master bolt and stop an all-out war. After losing his mother, Percy is sheltered at Camp Half-Blood, a sanctuary for demigod children. He must prove himself and confront his origins once he discovers he too is a demigod, and will take off into the perils of pursuing enemies in search of the Underworld. With the help of his quest mates Annabeth and Grover, Percy’s journey will lead him closer to the answers he seeks: how to fit into a world where he feels out of place, if he’ll ever see his mother again, and if he can ever find out who he’s destined to be. This is one of the most-watched original series on Disney+, even more popular than some Marvel and Star Wars series, highlighting just how fans have responded to this fantastic series. Two more seasons of this hit show are already in the works.

4) WandaVision

Marvel Studios “WandaVision,” is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) – two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives – begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems. WandaVision has become a cultural phenomenon and one of the most bizarre additions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For Marvel fans, it’s a must-watch. There is also a special behind-the-scenes documentary available called “Assembled: The Making Of WandaVision”.

3) Star Wars: Andor

The “Andor” series explores a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero. This is Star Wars for grown-ups. If you enjoyed “Rogue One” or just a series with some more depth, this is a must-watch. The second season arrives on Disney+ this April.

2) Star Wars: The Mandalorian

This is, without a doubt, one of the most popular Disney+ Originals and one of the main reasons people subscribed to Disney+ during its first year. This is the first live-action Star Wars series and is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic. All three seasons are now available on Disney+, so it’s a perfect time to sit back and find out what all the fuss is about regarding “Baby Yoda” and get pre-prepared for when “The Mandalorian & Grogu” hits cinemas in May 2026.

1) Loki

Marvel Studios’ “Loki” features the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new Disney+ series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame” and sees Loki team up with the Time Variance Authority to deal with rogue variants disrupting the sacred timeline. The second season continues to build upon that TVA, which will likely have a major impact on the upcoming “Avengers” movies. Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. This show is easily my favourite of the Marvel Studios series on Disney+ and has completely changed the way the MCU will continue in the future.
