Every month Disney+ adds new series and films to the service. It also adds new seasons of popular shows that are already on the service. Let’s take a look at the Top 5 Films and Series I’m excited to see each in June 2023.

1. AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER

The long-awaited sequel to the 2009 hit film finally hit theaters in late 2022. It will make its way to Disney+ in June 2023. While I wasn’t the biggest fan of the first “Avatar” film, there’s no doubt it was a visual masterpiece. I expect to be fully immersed in the land of Pandora in the sequel. It’s too soon to tell if I will like the plot of this one better.

2. STAN LEE

A new documentary looks back at the life of Stan Lee, the comic book creator who helped bring some of the most famous Marvel superheroes to life. Without Stan Lee, there would be no “Spider-Man,” no “X-Men” and no Marvel Cinematic Universe. I’m eager to watch this look back at his life and career.

3. SECRET INVASION

The story of the evil Skrulls is finally coming to the MCU. After Nick Fury learns of a secret invasion of Skrulls, he teams up with former allies to try to save the Earth. I’m eager to see how the MCU incorporates this storyline and want to see a modern day Nick Fury in action.

4. DISNEY GALLERY: STAR WARS: THE MANDALORIAN — THE MAKING OF SEASON 3

The latest installment of the Disney Gallery series takes viewers behind the scenes of season three of “The Mandalorian.” I love the behind the scenes look at how my favorite films and series are made and can’t wait to watch this one.

5. HOME IMPROVEMENT

One of the greatest sitcom of the 90s is finally making its way to Disney+. “Home Improvement” was immensely popular in its heyday and has long deserved to be part of the Disney+ family. It’s Tim Allen at his comedic peak (especially in that timeframe when he had the number on television show, the number on film at the box office and the number one New York Times Best Seller). I can’t wait to revisit this comedic classic.

Those are my picks. What will you be watching in the month of June?
