With the end of the year upon us, ABC News Studios is going to be releasing two “The Year” specials, which will be presented by “Good Morning America’s” Robin Roberts. One of the specials will take a look back at the major events of 2023, while the other special will take a look forward to 2024.

This special will also be presented by “Good Morning America” co-anchor George Stephanopoulos and “World News Tonight” anchor David Muir, “20/20” co-anchor Deborah Roberts, “Nightline” co-anchor Juju Chang, “ABC News Live Prime” anchor Linsey Davis, chief meteorologist and chief climate correspondent Ginger Zee, Lara Spencer of GMA and multiplatform reporter Ashan Singh.

The specials will feature interviews with rapper and singer Jelly Roll, singer Ashanti, Jury Duty star Ronald Gladden, Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner and fiancee Theresa Nist, Missy Elliot and appearances by the cast of Dancing with the Stars.

Robin Roberts said in a statement to Deadline:

“2023 has been a consequential and defining year culturally, socially, and politically. The Year: 2023′ will key in on the challenges that drew our attention this past year, and also what united us and reminded us of the common humanity that connects us all.”

The two-hour special “The Year: 2023” will air on ABC at 9 p.m. ET on December 27th 2023. Then on New Year’s Eve, “The Year: Countdown to 2024” will air on ABC at 7 p.m. ET, which will see Robin Roberts take a look at the best moments of the past year and takes a look ahead to the coming 12 months. In this special, She will be joined by “20/20” co-anchor Deborah Roberts, “Nightline” co-anchor Juju Chang, “GMA3: What You Need to Know” co-anchor Eva Pilgrim and ABC News correspondent Chris Connelly.

Both specials will be available on to stream the next day on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+.
