“The Simpsons” Fortnite Shorts Coming To Disney+
Today, Epic Games is kicking off a brand new season that will last all month and see the popular video game, Fortnite, get a massive makeover themed around the hit 20th Television series, “The Simpsons”.
The event was officially announced with a mini-in-game event that saw the first details revealed. From later today, players will be dropping onto the new Springfield Island that includes iconic locations from the show such as Krusty Burger, the Kwik-E-Mart, Moe’s Tavern, the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, Mr Burns’ mansion and the Simpsons’ house. This 80-player game features a fast-paced, back-to-basics Battle Royale experience straight from the minds behind “The Simpsons”. Giant doughnuts will fall from the sky and angry clones will roam the streets, but don’t worry, Homer Simpson is in charge.
A new battle pass has launched featuring characters from the show, such as Homer, Marge and Ned Flanders, plus there will also be “Simpsons” versions of Fortnite characters: Blinky Fishstick and Springfielder Peely. This new battle pass also includes the first “Sidekicks” called “Peels”.
Each week, the game will go through some changes, and there will be four exclusive shorts released, which will introduce the theme of the weekly update.
These new shorts will be shared on Fortnite’s social media channels and within the “quests” section within the game. The shorts will also be available to stream on Disney+. You’ll find them on Disney+ by searching for “The Simpsons” or heading to The Simpsons Collection! These shorts have been co-produced by Epic Games and Gracie Films.
The new “Simpsons” shorts will be called and released on the following dates:
- November 1 – “Apocalypse D’Oh”
- November 10 – “Sugar High”
- November 17 – “Multiplidiocy”
- November 24 – “The Incredible Bulk”
This week’s new episode of “The Simpsons” will also include “a special nod” to Fortnite.
Disney+ subscribers can also link their MyDisney accounts to their Epic Account to get access to a bonus Kang and Kodos Glider. This will be available within your locker before November 15th 2025, even if you’ve already linked your accounts.
There will also be a crossover with the hit game, Rocket League, that ends on November 17th. This event features players driving around Springfield that unlock items like the Blinky Topper, the Homer’s Hedges Player Banner, Waste Wheels and more!
Disney+ will also feature a first-of-its-kind global livestream of people playing “The Simpsons” Fortnite season from Stockholm Comic Con on November 2nd 2025.
Roger’s Take: With Disney owning 10% of Epic Games, we are only going to see more collabs between the two companies, and this new season looks to be one of the most interesting ones. We’ve seen plenty of Marvel and Star Wars tie-ins, but this feels even bigger. Once I’m done writing up this article, I’ll be firing up my PS5 to download Fortnite and to grab some V-Bucks to buy the season pass, to get in on the action once it becomes live!
