“The Remarried Empress” Coming Soon To Disney+

Disney recently revealed details on a brand new original fantasy drama series called “The Remarried Empress”, which will be coming soon to Disney+ and is based on the webtoon of the same name.

The show follows the story of Empress Navier, whose husband shocks her one day when he returns home with his mistress and demands a divorce. Unwilling to let the Emperor ruin her life, Navier grants his request but in return, asks to marry a rival prince of the Western Kingdom, igniting a tale of political intrigue, romance, and a fight to reclaim her stolen power.

This new series is the most expensive Korean drama ever produced and was filmed in Germany and other locations across Europe, featuring extravagant sets, production design, and exquisite costumes.  The details on the new show were revealed during an APAC showcase presentation at Hong Kong Disneyland.

“The Remarried Express” has been directed by Cho Su-won and stars Shin Mina, Lee Jong-suk, Ju Ji-hoon and Lee See-young. It has been adapted by Yeoh Geena and Hyun Choongyeol.

This new original Korean series will be released on Disney+ in 2026.
