“The Penguin” Max Release Date Announced
Warner Brothers Discovery has announced details on the upcoming DC Comics limited series, “The Penguin”, will be coming to HBO and Max in September.
The new series will see Colin Farrell reprise his role of Oz Cobb (aka “The Penguin”) from “The Batman” movie. This DC Studios series continues filmmaker Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” epic crime saga and its being developed by showrunner Lauren LeFranc.
Also starring in the series will be Cristin Milioti (Sofia Falcone), Rhenzy Feliz (Victor Aguilar), Michael Kelly (Johnny Viti), Shohreh Aghdashloo (Nadia Maroni), Deirdre O’Connell (Francis Cobb), Clancy Brown (Salvatore Maroni), James Madio (Milos Grapa), Scott Cohen (Luca Falcone), Michael Zegen (Alberto Falcone), Carmen Ejogo (Eve Karlo), and Theo Rossi (Dr. Julian Rush).
The series is executive produced by Matt Reeves, Dylan Clark, Colin Farrell, Lauren LeFranc, who writes and serves as showrunner, Craig Zobel, who directs the first three episodes, and Bill Carraro. Based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane with Bill Finger, “The Penguin” is produced by Reeves’ 6th & Idaho Productions and Dylan Clark Productions in association with Warner Bros Television, where Reeves and 6th & Idaho are under an overall deal, and DC Studios. Daniel Pipski also serves as executive producer.
“The Penguin” will premiere on Thursday 19th September 2024 at 9pm ET/PT on HBO and it will also be available on Max. HBO will re-air the series premiere multiple times over the weekend, including Sunday, 22nd September 2024 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Sunday nights at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT will be the debut day and time of all subsequent new episodes of the eight-episode series on HBO and Max, continuing with episode two on Sunday, 29th September 2024.
Max is also now available as part of the bundle with Disney+ and Hulu for $16.99/month with ads and $29.99/month without ads.
