Disney has released some new details on a brand-new sci-fi thriller film called, “The Mill”, which is going to star Lil Rel Howery (Get Out), who will also be a producer on the project. In the film, Lil Rey Howery will be playing a white-collar businessman who mysteriously wakes up in an open-air prison cell containing only an old grist mill. Forced to work as a beast of burden to stay alive, he must find a way to escape before the birth of his child.

“The Mill” has been written by Jeffrey David Thomas, who has previously worked on “All American: Homecoming” and “Titans”. It will be directed by Sean King O’Grady, who has previously worked on “We Need to Do Something”.

The movie was shot in New Jersey and has already wrapped production. Also starring in the film will be Scoot McNairy (Fairyland), Pat Healy (Station 19) and Karen Obilom (House Party).

The film will be produced by Josh Feldman, Howery, O’Grady and Jesse Ford. With Barbara and Brooke Goldner executive producing for Altar Rock Pictures, with David Worthen Brooks, Arbi Pedrossian, and Jenna Cavelle of 20th Digital Studio.

20th Digital Studio, Hulu Originals, and Altar Rock Pictures are creating the film, which will debut later this year on Hulu in the U.S. and on Disney+ internationally.
