“The Falcon And The Winter Soldier” To Resume Filming This Fall
The first Disney+ exclusive series, “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” was scheduled to arrive on Disney+ next month, however, it’s looking less likely that this will be happening. There are still 9 days of shooting to do on the show in the Czech Republic,
This past week, the European Union reopened its borders to travellers from a select number of countries with low Coronavirus cases, however, the United States wasn’t one of those listed, due to a spike in cases. There is an exception for cast and crew to travel to the EU from the United States and film making is being welcomed in the Czech Republic.
Pavlina Zipkova, head of the Czech Film Commission said: “Filmmakers of all nations are welcome in the Czech Republic,”
“The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” will see both Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan return as the main characters, along with other characters from “Captain America: Civil War” such as Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp) and Baron Zemo (Daniel Bruhl).
This new Marvel series will consist of 6 episodes and will be directed by Kari Skogland, who previously worked on Hulu’s The Handmaids Tale and the Marvel series, The Punisher.
