Following the huge earthquake that took place in Puerto Rico last Tuesday, Marvel has had to suspend filming the new Disney+ Original series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

According to Deadline, Marvel was due to film on location on the island for two weeks, with the cast and crew set to arrive tomorrow.  It’s not yet clear if production will continue in Puerto Rico, or if they will change location to somewhere else.

The earthquake that hit Puerto Rico on Tuesday, had a reading of 6.4, which was the biggest in the island’s history.  And another earthquake hit the island on Saturday, which was slightly smaller at a 5.9 reading.

Both Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan will return as the lead characters and will be joined by Civil War characters including Agent 13 and Baron Zemo.

This new Marvel series is due to arrive on Disney+ later in 2020.
