“The Creator” Special Screening Event Photos
Disney held a special screening event of the new 20th Century Studios film, “The Creator”, at TCL Theater in Hollywood last night, which was attended by the film’s director/producer/co-writer Gareth Edwards, and there was a special interactive experience with AI film-themed robots at Hollywood & Highland. Due to the long-running actor’s strike, the film’s stars weren’t attending the premiere, though Gareth was wearing a T-shirt showing the names of the stars in support of the strike.
“The Creator” is an epic sci-fi action thriller set amidst a future war between the human race and the forces of artificial intelligence, “The Creator” stars John David Washington, Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe, Sturgill Simpson, Madeleine Yuna Voyles, and Allison Janney. Joshua (Washington), a hardened ex-special forces agent grieving the disappearance of his wife (Chan), is recruited to hunt down and kill the Creator, the elusive architect of advanced AI who has developed a mysterious weapon with the power to end the war…and mankind itself. Joshua and his team of elite operatives journey across enemy lines, into the dark heart of AI-occupied territory, only to discover the world-ending weapon he’s been instructed to destroy is an AI in the form of a young child (Voyles).
