It’s been years since Disney announced that FX was developing a brand new series based on the popular 20th Century Studios franchise, “Alien”, which is being created by Noah Hawley and is set not too far into our future, and it’s the first Alien story set on Earth. It blends both the timeless horror of the first “Alien” film with the non-stop action of the second and will take place before Ripley.

Filming on the new series is due to begin filming later this year, and it’s been confirmed that Sydney Chandler has joined the cast as one of the leads.  Sydney has previously starred in the FX series, “Pistol” and “Don’t Worry Darling”.

This isn’t the only Alien project in development by Disney, as 20th Century Studio is also working on a ninth film, which is going to be directed by Fede Alvarez and is about a group of young people on a distant world, who find themselves in a confrontation with the most terrifying life form in the universe.

This new “Alien” series will be coming to Hulu in the United States and will be released internationally on Disney+.  And the previous “Alien” films are available to stream now on Disney+ in many countries, including the UK, Canada and Australia.
