Disney has announced that it will be releasing a special full-length Halloween episode of its hit-animated series, “SuperKitties”, which will be premiering on Monday, 25th September 2023, on Disney Junior at 7:00 p.m. EDT/PDT, and it will be available shortly thereafter on Disney+.

“SuperKitties” is an adorable and action-packed series about four fierce and furry superhero kittens — Ginny, Sparks, Buddy and Bitsy — who are on a mission to make their town of Kittydale a more caring and “pawesome” place. Geared to kids ages 2-7 and their families, each episode features two 11-minute stories that highlight the SuperKitties as they receive a “SuperKitty Call” from one of their animal friends with a problem that only the SuperKitties can help with (usually caused by one of the comedic villains in the series ― Cat Burglar, Mr. Puppypaws, Lab Rat or Zsa-Zsa). With plenty of super skills and gadgets at their disposal, the SuperKitties set off to thwart the villains’ plans and impart important messages of kindness, empathy, friendship, resilience and problem-solving along the way.

In the Halloween episode titled “Howloween Cat,” the pets’ Howloween treats go missing all over Kittydale, so the SuperKitties must track down the thief.  A first look image from the special has been released.

The “SuperKitties” voice cast includes Emma Berman (Disney-Pixar’s “Luca”) as Ginny, Cruz Flateau (“CoComelon”) as Sparks, JeCobi Swain (ABC’s “Home Economics”) as Buddy, and Pyper Braun (“Country Comfort”) as Bitsy.

The series is created and executive produced by Emmy® Award winner Paula Rosenthal (“Peter Rabbit”). Emmy Award-winning producer, director and storyboard artist Kirk Van Wormer (“Transformers: Prime) is a co-executive producer. Keith Harrison Dworkin (“UglyDolls”) is songwriter, and Vidjay Beerepoot (“Minnie’s Bow-Toons”) is the composer. Carmen Carter (“Dancing with the Stars”) performs the series’ theme song. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television – Kids (formerly known as Silvergate Media) in association with Disney Junior.

The first season of “SuperKitties” is available to stream on Disney+ now.
