Nielsen has announced its top 10 streaming charts for the week of 30th May 2022 through to 5th June 2022 for the United States. There are four different charts, Top 10 Originals, Acquired Shows, Movies and a combined total chart.

Unfortunately, the previous week’s data hasn’t been released and Nielsen has skipped forward a week, which means the data on Obi-Wan Kenobi is based on three episodes.  It should also be noted that Nielsen is now also including HBO Max content.

While “Obi-Wan Kenobi” has had a strong launch for Disney+, Netflix’s “Stranger Things” season four has completely dominated the chart, pulling in over seven times as many minutes watched.  Showing how Netflix’s binge drop method, plus longer episodes and a fantastic series, was able to pull in viewers in their millions.

In the film chart,  the recent Disney+ releases, including “Chip ‘n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers”, “Encanto” and “Turning Red”, continue to pull in audiences.

Disney’s shows “Criminal Minds” and “Grey’s Anatomy” continue to pull in viewers on Netflix. These shows are available on Disney+ internationally, including “NCIS” in the UK.
