Disney has announced, as part of a presentation at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, that the second season of “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures” will be coming to Disney+ and Disney Jr. this coming summer.

Set 200 years before “The Phantom Menace,” during the High Republic era, “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures” follows Jedi younglings as they study the ways of the Force, explore the galaxy, help citizens and creatures in need and learn valuable skills needed to become Jedi along the way.

In the new season, Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay and Nubs are ready for more adventures! Dressed in their new mission gear, the young heroes will embark on even bigger missions across the galaxy as they continue their Jedi training.

A first-look image from the second season has also been released:

This series is created by Lucasfilm, with Michael Olson working as the showrunner and executive producer on the project.  James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez, and Josh Rimes are also executive producers, with Elliot M. Bour working as the supervising director/co-producer and Lamont Magee as the consulting producer.  “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventure” stars Juliet Donenfeld), Jamaal Avery Jr. and Dee Bradley Baker.

Season two of “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures” will premiere Wednesday, 14th August 2024 on Disney+ and Disney Jr.   The previous season is also available to stream on Disney+.

Roger’s Take: Getting new fans into Star Wars is extremely important for Disney, and this series acts as an easy entry point for parents to introduce young audiences to the franchise while keeping it well away from the other shows and films. I’d also assume the second season will follow the same trend we saw with the first, with batches of new episodes being released over time.
