“Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2” Comic Book Series Announced
Just ahead of the return of “The Mandalorian” on Disney+ on March 1st 2023, Marvel has announced that it is going to be releasing an eight-issue adaptation of the second season of the hit Disney+ series. With every issue will retell the story of one episode.
The first season of “The Mandalorian” comic book adaptation concludes next week. “The Mandalorian Season 2″ will begin with “Chapter 9: The Marshal,” adapting a memorable episode in which Mando encounters Marshal Cobb Vanth, setting the stage for major events to come.
The creative team behind the first series are also returning, with writer Rodney Barnes and artist Georges Jeanty. Also joining the comic book series is artist Steven Cummings, who has recently been working on the Marvel Star Wars comic book event series, “Hidden Empire”, who will be pencilling every other issue.
Rodney Barnes told StarWars.com:
“Adapting The Mandalorian has been a pure treat. The series embodies all aspects of the Star Wars universe: the myth, the mystery, and spectacle that made me fall in love with it so long ago. It’s an honor to be part of this project!”
Steven Cummings added:
“I am thrilled to be able to be part of the world of The Mandalorian and get to draw some of his adventures. The Lone Wolf and Cub via the Old West vibe of the show has me excited to pick up my pencil every day and dive in.”
