Star Wars: The Clone Wars Returning To Disney’s Streaming Service
It has been revealed at San Diego Comic Con, that Disney will be releasing a new series of the beloved animated series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which will be returning with 12 all-new episodes on Disney’s direct-to-consumer streaming service.
This series was created by George Lucas and debuted in 2008. It features well known character like Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Padmé Amidala, while introducing major new characters like Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano and Captain Rex.

The Clone Wars ended after five broadcast seasons — just as Ahsoka left the Jedi Order. A few post-Season Five episodes were later released as “The Lost Missions,” but now Disney and Lucasfilm have come together to finish the series off properly.
