Earlier this year at Star Wars Celebration, it was revealed that the animated series, “Star Wars: The Bad Batch” would be returning for a third and final season in 2024.

“Star Wars: The Bad Batch” follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in “The Clone Wars”) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of Bad Batch—a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army—each possesses a singular exceptional skill that makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew.

During the Star Wars Celebration event, fans in the room were treated to a special Season 3 teaser, which included a sneak peek at what is to come, including the return of Ming-Na Wen’s fan-favourite bounty hunter, Fennec Shand.

Recently, one of the executive producers on the series, Jennifer Corbett, took to social media to confirm that the third season’s “final mix session” is completed:

“Toasting to the final mix session for ‘The Bad Batch.’ What a pleasure to watch David W Collins & team in action! Can’t wait for you all to see what’s in store for the final season!”

Disney hasn’t officially announced when the third season of “The Bad Batch” will premiere on Disney+ in 2024.

With multiple live-action Star Wars shows due to be released on Disney+, including “Skeleton Crew” and “The Acolyte”, along with potentially the second season of “Andor”.  It’ll be interesting to see how “The Bad Batch” will slide in around the schedule, since Disney will likely want to keep them separated.

“Star Wars: The Bad Batch” is executive produced by Dave Filoni (“The Mandalorian,” “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”), Athena Portillo (“Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” “Star Wars Rebels”), Brad Rau (“Star Wars Rebels,” “Star Wars Resistance”) and Jennifer Corbett (“Star Wars Resistance,” “NCIS”) with Carrie Beck (“The Mandalorian,” “Star Wars Rebels”) as co-executive producer and Josh Rimes as producer (“Star Wars Resistance”). Rau is also serving as supervising director, with Corbett as head writer.

The first two seasons of “The Bad Batch” are available to stream now on Disney+.
