March is going to be a bumper month for new original content on Disney+ around the world with many new Star Originals from Searchlight, 20th Century Studios, ABC and more.  Some of the big new releases include new films such as “Boston Strangler” and also some brand new shows like “UnPrisoned” and much more.

Here are a few highlights:

Finding Michael

In 1999, Michael Matthews became the youngest Briton to summit Mount Everest. But three hours after he summited, he disappeared and was never found. Twenty-three years later, his brother, entrepreneur and broadcaster Spencer Matthews, sets out on a journey to find him. Teaming up with 14 peak record holder Nims Purja, the recovery team faces extreme challenges as the weather closes in.

Arriving globally on Friday, 3rd March 2023


History Of The World – Part 2

After waiting over 40 years, there is finally a sequel to the seminal Mel Brooks film, History of the World, Part I, with each episode featuring a variety of sketches that take us through different periods of human history. Season 2 will be a four-day event with two new episodes available every day for four days.

This series will be released over a period of four days from March 6th in Australia, New Zealand and Canada.


Boston Strangler

A true-crime thriller from writer-director Matt Ruskin about the trailblazing reporters who broke the story of the notorious Boston Strangler murders of the 1960s. Boston Strangler The film follows Loretta McLaughlin (Keira Knightley), a reporter for the Record-American newspaper, who becomes the first journalist to connect the Boston Strangler murders. As the mysterious killer claims more and more victims, Loretta attempts to continue her investigation alongside colleague and confidante Jean Cole (Carrie Coon).

This all-new film from 20th Century Studios arrives on March 17th 2023.


UnPrisoned

From creator Tracy McMillan, the eight-episode series is produced by ABC Signature and will stream exclusively on Hulu in the U.S., Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ in all other territories. Inspired by McMillan’s life, “UnPrisoned” is a half-hour dramedy about a messy but perfectionist relationship therapist and single mom whose life is turned right-side-up when her dad gets out of prison and moves in with her and her teenage son.

This series will be released on Friday 10th March 2023.


Up Here

A musical romantic comedy set in New York City in 1999, following the extraordinary story of one ordinary couple, as they fall in love and encounter a world of memories, obsessions, fears, and fantasies that lives inside their heads. It leads them to discover that the single greatest obstacle to finding happiness together might just be themselves.

This new series will arrives on March 24th 2023.


How I Met Your Father – Season 2

In the near future, Sophie is telling her son the story of how she met his father: a story that catapults us back to the present where Sophie and her close-knit group of friends are in the midst of figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.

New episodes are being released every Tuesday in Australia, New Zealand and Canada.


Rye Lane

From director Raine Allen-Miller, “Rye Lane” is a romantic comedy that stars David Jonsson (“Industry,” “Deep State”) and Vivian Oparah (“Class,” “The Rebel”), as Dom and Yas, two twenty-somethings both reeling from bad break-ups, who connect over the course of an eventful day in South London – helping each other deal with their nightmare exes, and potentially restoring their faith in romance.

“Rye Lane” is coming to Disney+ in Australia, New Zealand and Canada on Friday 31st March 2023.


Abbott Elementary – Season 2

This workplace comedy follows a group of dedicated, passionate teachers — and a slightly tone-deaf principal —as they navigate the Philadelphia public school system. Despite the odds stacked against them, they are determined to help their students succeed in life, and though these incredible public servants may be outnumbered and underfunded, they love what they do — even if they don’t love the school district’s less-than-stellar attitude towards educating children.

The first ten episodes will arrive on Disney+ in the UK and Ireland on March 1st 2023.


The Watchful Eye

Elena Santos, a young woman with a complicated past, manoeuvres her way into working as a live-in nanny for an affluent family in Manhattan. She quickly learns that everyone in the mysterious building has deadly secrets and ulterior motives. What they don’t know, however, is that Elena has some shocking secrets of her own.

This new series will debut on March 29th 2023 in Australia and New Zealand


Will Trent

As Special Agent Will Trent, Ramón Rodríguez can deconstruct a crime scene like no one else. Based on Karin Slaughter’s New York Times bestselling “Will Trent” series, Special Agent Will Trent of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) was abandoned at birth and endured a harsh coming-of-age in Atlanta’s overwhelmed foster care system. But now, determined to use his unique point of view to make sure no one is abandoned like he was, Will Trent has the highest clearance rate in the GBI.

This new series will debut on March 8th 2023 in Australia and New Zealand
