Sharon Horgan To Star In Hulu’s Amanda Knox Limited Series
20th Television is currently developing a new untitled limited series about Amanda Knox, which is due to begin filming in October. The series is based on the true story of how Knox was wrongfully convicted for the murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher, and her 16-year odyssey to set herself truly free.
The untitled series is going to star Grace Van Patten as Amanda Knox, and Deadline has revealed that Sharon Horgan has joined the project as a series regular and will be playing Amanda Knox‘s mother, Edda Mellas.
Edda’s character description states that she is desperate but optimistic mother. Their deep bond is challenged by Amanda’s imprisonment, but Edda’s unwavering love for her daughter propels her as she fights for Amanda’s life.

The upcoming series is being written by KJ Steinberg, who will also be an executive producer. It is being produced by The Littlefield Company’s Warren Littlefield, Lisa Harrison, Ann Johnson, and Graham Littlefield. Monica Lewinsky, Knox, and Chris Robinson of Knox Robinson Productions are also set to executive produce the project.
This upcoming limited series will be released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ around the world.
