“Send Help” Debuts On The Nielsen Streaming Chart
Nielsen has announced its top 10 streaming charts for the United States from May 4th 2026, to May 10th 2026. There are four different charts: Top 10 Originals, Acquired Shows, Movies, and a combined total chart.
The biggest new release on Hulu and Disney+ this week was the 20th Century Studios film, “Send Help”, which flips workplace power dynamics into a darkly comedic survival story. When a ruthless boss and her overlooked employee are stranded on a deserted island after a plane crash, their roles quickly reverse. Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien anchor the film and deliver a volatile, often darkly funny clash as the two battle for control – and survival.
Unfortunately, once again, no originals from Hulu or Disney+ were able to make the original chart again, potentially highlighting that neither “Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord” nor the Marvel “Daredevil: Born Again” series failed to get big enough viewing numbers to make the chart.
It’s also interesting that none of the Star Wars films made it onto the movie chart during the “May 4th” celebrations, unlike in previous years.
Disney+ also continued to get a boost in viewership with the release of “The Devil Wears Prada 2” in cinemas, with the first film continuing to get a bump in views for the second week.
“Zootopia 2” also continues to be a huge success on Disney, making the movie chart for another week, highlighting how Disney’s theatrical focus is actually boosting the interest in films for longer once they hit streaming.
Disney continues to hold a large share of the acquired charts, with its biggest hits, including “Grey’s Anatomy”, “Bluey”, “Family Guy”, and “Bob’s Burgers”, still drawing viewers on Hulu and Disney+. Disney was also able to take advantage of some popular licensed content, such as “Criminal Minds”.
