Following the move of “The One and Only Ivan” from cinemas to Disney+, it has also shifted the release of the Searchlight Pictures movie, ”The Personal History of David Copperfield“ to August 14th in the United States.

It’s a modern take on Charles Dickens’s classic tale of a young orphan who is able to triumph over many obstacles. The film has been directed by Armando Iannucci and stars Dev Patel as David Copperfield.

The movie has going to been released in the US in May, but was held back due to cinemas being closed, it was delayed.  The movie has been previously released in other countries including the United Kingdom.
