Disney’s Searchlight Pictures has revealed a brand new film called “Poor Things”, which will be released in cinemas on September 8th 2023 and we should expect the film to arrive on Disney’s streaming services later in the year.  The film stars William Dafoe, Mark Ruffalo and Emma Stone, who is also a producer on the film.

The film is about Bella Baxter (Stone), who is a young woman, that is brought back to life by the brilliant and unorthodox scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe). Under Baxter’s protection, Bella is eager to learn. Hungry for the worldliness she is lacking, Bella runs off with Duncan Wedderburn (Mark Ruffalo), a slick and debauched lawyer, on a whirlwind adventure across the continents. Free from the prejudices of her times, Bella grows steadfast in her purpose to stand for equality and liberation.

Some images of the film were also released:

Yorgos Lanthimos has directed the film and has previously worked with Searchlight Pictures on “The Favourite”, which was nominated for 10 Oscars.
