Disney has announced that the upcoming Searchlight Pictures movie, “A Complete Unknown” will be released in cinemas in the United States on Christmas Day.

“A Complete Unknown” is set in the influential New York music scene of the early ’60s and follows 19-year-old Minnesota musician BOB DYLAN’s (Timothée Chalamet) meteoric rise as a folk singer to concert halls and the top of the charts – his songs and mystique becoming a worldwide sensation – culminating in his groundbreaking electric rock and roll performance at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965.

The movie stars Timothée Chalamet, Edward Norton, Elle Fanning, Monica Barbaro, Boyd Holbrook, Norbert Leo Butz, Dan Fogler, and Scoot McNairy.  “A Complete Unknown” has been directed by James Mangold.

“A Complete Unknown” will be released in cinemas in the United States on December 25th 2024, and it is also coming out a few weeks later, in January 2024, in the UK.  The movie will also be released on Disney+ internationally and on Hulu and Disney+ in the United States in 2025
