Disney has announced that a new series inspired by the Emmy award-winning National Geographic documentary “Science Fair”, is going to be released on the National Geographic channel, Hulu and Disney+.

This brand new series is about the agony and ecstasy of the beloved and brainy teenage subculture of competitive science. This gripping new docuseries follows the ups and downs of some of the most brilliant young innovators, engineers, and scientists on the road to the Big Show – the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).

The original documentary was released in 2018 and follows nine high school students from around the globe as they compete at an international science fair. Facing off against 1,700 of the smartest teens from 78 countries, only one will be named Best in Fair. You can also watch the original “Science Fair” documentary on Disney+.

“Science Fair: The Series” is directed by Cristina Costantini and Darren Foster. And it has been executive produced by Cristina Costantini, Darren Foster, and Jeff Plunkett.

The new series will premiere in the United States on the National Geographic channel on Sunday 10th December 2023, and it will be available the next day on Disney+ and Hulu. No international release details have been announced yet.
