Disney is looking to continue to build out its new Hulu comedy library with a new special featuring Roy Wood Jr, which will be filmed in early September at the Lincoln Theatre in Washington, D.C.

Roy Wood Jr. is most known for his role on “The Daily Show,” and recently, Comedy Central released three specials: “Imperfect Messenger,” “Loves You,” and “Father Figure.” He has also appeared in many shows and movies, including “Only Murders In The Building,” “Fletch,” and “Better Call Saul.”

This new comedy special will be released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ around the world, though no release date or title have been announced.

The upcoming special will be directed by c. Craig and will be produced by Mainstay Entertainment and Jax Media.

Later this year, Hulu is launching a new comedy lineup where it will be releasing a new stand-up special every month; Bill Burr and Jim Gaffigan have already filmed specials for the streaming service. Disney has also licensed lots more stand-up specials from 800 Pound Gorilla and Comedy Dynamics to help fill out their comedy lineup.
