“Rennervations” Removed From Disney+ Globally
Last year, Disney released a brand new series called “Rennervations”, which embraced Jeremy Renner’s lifelong passion to give back to communities around the world by reimagining unique purpose-built vehicles to meet a community’s needs. Behind the big screen, Jeremy is a construction aficionado, and he is a construction veteran with a passion for purchasing and re-imagining huge vehicles with the help of his connections in the worldwide fabricator culture.
With his best friend and business partner, Rory Millikin, and an all-star build crew, Renner travels the globe to reimagine decommissioned vehicles and rebuild them to serve a new purpose, such as turning a tour bus into a mobile music studio, a delivery truck into a mobile water treatment facility, a shuttle bus into a mobile recreation center, and a city bus into a mobile dance studio.
Along the way, Renner teams up with actor and producer Anthony Mackie (Marvel Studios’ “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’’), actress and entrepreneur Vanessa Hudgens (“Tick, Tick… Boom!”), actor and producer Anil Kapoor (“Mission Impossible,” “Slumdog Millionaire”) and singer and songwriter Sebastián Yatra (“Encanto”), who all share Renner’s enthusiasm and join him to deliver the finished vehicles to each organization.
The series was released on Disney+ around the world in April 2023. However, today, the series has been removed from Disney+ around the world without any warning to subscribers.
This isn’t the first time that Disney has removed an original series from Disney+, as it has already removed over a hundred in the past few years as the studio looks to reduce its costs by writing off failed assets to ensure its streaming division remains profitable.
It’s unclear if we will see the return of “Rennervations” to Disney+, but while some of the original movies that have been removed have become available to purchase on digital platforms or free streaming services like Tubi, none of the “removed” series has yet been made available on any other way.
UPDATE: For some reason, the show isn’t appearing in Disney+ but the episodes are available as single titles, so there might be an error with this show.
UPDATE 2: Disney has restored the show back to Disney+, it looks like there was an error in them temporarily removing it.
Roger’s Take: It’s disappointing that Disney continues to wipe out some of its less popular original shows, especially without any warning, which is still unbelievable that Disney+ is still doing this five years after launch. It’s also a shame that we’re slowly seeing the Disney+ Original library slowly disappearing, with only the most successful shows and films remaining. It just seems such a waste of resources to create a show and to just delete it to save some money through some creative accounting.
What do you think of “Rennervations” being removed from Disney+.
