Reid Scott & François Arnaud To Star In ABC’s “Judgement”
20th Television is developing a brand-new pilot called “Judgement”, which is being created by “Charmed” showrunner, Joey Falco, who will be writing and executive producing the show.
“Judgement” is a high-stakes legal soap that redefines the genre by playing out over two timelines. Fifteen years from now, a woman being vetted for a Supreme Court seat recounts her experience at a prominent D.C. law firm in 2023, where the only thing more controversial than the cases was her messy love life, caught between two feuding brothers. Now, with a Supreme Court seat on the line, all of her darkest secrets are at risk of coming out, threatening her nomination, her reputation, and her marriage.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Sarah Shahi (The Rookie) had joined the cast of the series and will be playing the role of Mia Bahari. Deadline has also revealed that Reid Scott and François Arnaud have also joined the cast.
Reid Scott will be playing the role of Tommy Quinn, who is a high-powered defense attorney and partner at one of D.C.’s most successful law firms. He’s charming, confident and — some might say — deliciously arrogant. He’s the brother of Deputy Solicitor General Leo Quinn (Arnaud) and finds himself instantly attracted to Leo’s lawyer girlfriend, Mia (Shahi), who he lures to his firm for reasons that might not be entirely above board. Reid Scott has previously starred in “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and HBO’s “Veep”.
François Arnaud is going to be playing the role of Quinn, who is a driven, righteous D.C. attorney, currently serving as Deputy Solicitor General. He and his brother Tommy have a contentious history, which isn’t helped when Tommy hires Leo’s girlfriend to work at his firm. Sweet and intelligent, Leo is an incredibly supportive partner, a proud feminist and is happy to help Mia achieve her goals, but when those goals begin to conflict with his own ambitions, it will test his deepest beliefs and his relationship. François Arnaud has previously starred in “Yellowjackets” and the CBC series “Plan B”.
Also, executive producing the show is Melvin Mar, Jake Kasdan and Jordan Cerf. Paul McGuigan directs and also executive produces.
Should this pilot get the go-ahead, it’s likely this series will be released on ABC and Hulu in the US and as a Star Original on Disney+ around the world.
