
Rebecca Wisocky, Joe Lanza & Crosby Fitzgerald To Star In Hulu’s Untitled Amanda Knox Limited Series
20th Television is currently developing a new untitled limited series about Amanda Knox, which is due to begin filming in October. The series is based on the true story of how Knox was wrongfully convicted for the murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher, and her 16-year odyssey to set herself truly free.
The untitled series is going to star Grace Van Patten as Amanda Knox, and Sharon Horgan as Amanda Knox‘s mother, Edda Mellas. It will also star John Hoogenakker as Amanda Knox‘s father, and Francesco Acquaroli will play Giuliano Mignini, the Italian prosecutor in Amanda Knox’s case. Also starring in the series will be Giuseppe De Domenico, who is playing the role of Raffaele Sollecit, Amanda’s boyfriend, and Edda Mattei, who plays Monica Napoleoni.
Deadline has revealed that Rebecca Wisocky, Joe Lanza and Crosby Fitzgerald have joined the cast.
Rebecca Wisocky will be playing the role of Cecilia, an American in prison who moves into Amanda’s cell to take care of her. Rebecca has previously starred in “Ghosts” and “Devious Maids”.
While Joe Lanza portrays Chris Mellas, Amanda’s stepdad who found love later in life with Edda and is a strong presence in Amanda’s life. Joe has previously starred in “The Americans”, “Gotham”, “Orange Is The New Black” and “House Of Cards”.
Crosby Fitzgerald will play the role of Madison, Amanda’s best friend who always speaks her mind. Crosby has previously starred in “Abbott Elementary”, “The First Lady” and “Palm Royale”.
The upcoming series is being written by KJ Steinberg, who will also be an executive producer. It is being produced by The Littlefield Company’s Warren Littlefield, Lisa Harrison, Ann Johnson, and Graham Littlefield. Monica Lewinsky, Knox, and Chris Robinson of Knox Robinson Productions are also set to executive produce the project.
This upcoming limited series will be released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ around the world.
