Disney has announced that filming has wrapped on the sequel to the hit Searchlight Pictures movie, “Ready Or Not”, which will be released in cinemas on April 10th 2025.

No plot details on the sequel have been revealed, but the first film told the story of what happens after a wedding ceremony of a young woman, her new in-laws force her to participate in a seemingly innocent game. Things soon turn bloody and sinister, revealing the sick rituals of the family.

The upcoming film will star Samara Weaving and Kathryn Newton, who appeared in a social media post confirming the release date.

Also starring in the film are Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, Olivia Cheng, David Cronenberg, and Elijah Wood.

“Ready Or Not 2” has been directed by Radio Silence, which is the directing team of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett.  The film is based on a screenplay by Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy.  Tripp Vinson, James Vanderbilt, Bradley J. Fischer and William Sherak are producing the movie.

With an April theatrical release, expect to see “Ready Or Not 2” released on Hulu and Disney+ a few months later. The original “Ready Or Not” film is available to stream on Disney+ in many countries, including Canada, Australia and the UK.
