20th Century Studios is developing a new horror-thriller movie called “Send Help”, which is being directed and produced by Sam Raimi, who has worked on the “Evil Dead” franchise and original “Spider-Man” trilogy.

The upcoming movie is described as a two-hander horror-thriller set on an island, a mix of Stephen King’s “Misery” and Robert Zemeckis “Castaway”.

“Send Help” is being written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, who previously worked on the “Baywatch” film. Zainab Azizi will also produce under the Raimi Productions banner.

According to The InSneider, Rachel McAdams is in talks to star in the film. She previously worked with Sami on the Marvel Studios film, “Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness” and she has also starred in “Mean Girls” and “The Notebook”.

These talks are still in the early stages, so could still change as the project hasn’t yet been fully greenlit by 20th Century Studios yet.

This film is expected to be released in cinemas first, before eventually heading to Disney’s streaming services, Hulu and Disney+
