Rachel Brosnahan, Caitríona Balfe And Laurence Fishburne To Star In 20th Century’s “Amateur”
20th Century Studios are currently developing a new thriller film called “Amateur”, which is about a CIA cryptographer who, after his wife is tragically killed in a London terrorist attack, demands his bosses go after them. When it becomes clear they won’t act due to conflicting internal priorities, he blackmails the agency into training him and letting him go after them himself.
The film is going to star Rami Malek and according to Deadline, Caitríona Balfe, Rachel Brosnahan, and Laurence Fishburne have joined the cast of the film.
Caitríona Balfe has previously starred in the hit Starz series, “Outlander”, and the Oscar-winning film, “Belfast”. Rachel Brosnahan has previously starred in Amazon’s “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”. And Laurence Fishburne has starred in many films and shows over the years, including “The Matrix”, “Ant-Man And The Wasp”, and “Blackish”.
“Amateur” is being directed by James Hawes, and it’s based on a script by Gary Spinelli. With Hutch Parker and Dan Wilson are producing, along with Rami Malek executive producing.
