Disney is working on a new series based on the documentary film “Pick of the Litter” for Disney+, according to Kidscreen.  The series will feature 6 episodes and will be 30 minutes each.

The series “Pick of the Litter”, will follow one puppy on its journey to become a guide dog for the blind.  And will also go deeper into the story of service animals, their trainers and owners.

ABC Studios will be producing the series and will see the original documentary’s co-directors and producers, Don Hardy and Dana Nachman, act as executive producers.  And it will be the first series they’ve worked on.

They’ve also confirmed they are working on this new series via Twitter:

The original documentary also followed the story of a litter of puppies going through their training. Check out the trailer for the original 2018 film below:

Hopefully we will find out soon when this new series will be available on Disney+.

I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the first three shows from "Pick of the Litter". Are there plans to continue the series, and show the dog as they progress in their training & get matched up with their person? When will this be available?
