“Pete’s Dragon” Director David Lowery Joins “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” Disney+ Series
Just ahead of Star Wars Celebration, it has been revealed by Variety that David Lowery is one of the directors of the upcoming Disney+ Original series, “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew”, which stars Jude Law, and is being created by Jon Watts and Christopher Ford, along with Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni.
The new show follows “a group of kids…who accidentally get lost in the Star Wars galaxy..and their journey trying to find their way home.” The series is set within the same time period as “The Mandalorian” and “Ahsoka”. The series will also be executive produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Michelle Rejwan.
David Lowery has previously directed “The Green Knight” and also the Disney live-action remake of “Pete’s Dragon”, and the upcoming Disney+ Original film, “Peter Pan & Wendy”.
It was also recently revealed that “Everything Everywhere All At Once” directors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, also have directed on the show.
More details on the upcoming “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” series are expected to be revealed during the Lucasfilm Studio Showcase panel on Good Friday at Star Wars Celebration in London, England.
