This week, the 55th NAACP Image Awards are taking place. The winners will be announced over multiple nights before the main ceremony, which will be broadcast live on Saturday, March 16th, 2024, at 8:00 PM ET/PT on BET and the CBS Television Network.

The event continues its tradition of excellence, uplifting values that inspire equality, justice, and progressive change, and highlighting artists committed to these values.

The winners of the Television categories were announced through a virtual event on Wednesday, and Disney has picked up several awards for its original programming, including “Percy Jackson And The Olympians” and “The Proud Family: Louder & Prouder.”

Leah Sava Jeffries, who plays Annebeth in the hit Disney+ series, “Percy Jackson And The Olympians” won the award in the Outstanding Performance by a Youth category.  While ABC’s “20/20” – Kerry Washington: Thicker Than Water – A Conversation with Robin Roberts” also picked up an award for Outstanding News/Information (Series or Special).

The Disney+ Original series “The Proud Family: Louder & Prouder” also won two awards, including the Outstanding Animated Series.

FX’s “Dear Mama” also won the Outstanding Directing in a Documentary (Television or Motion Picture) award.
