“Papás Por Encargo” Begins Filming In Latin America
Disney has announced that filming has begun on a brand new Disney+ Original fiction series “Papás por encargo” for Latin America.
The series stars Jorge Blanco (Violetta, Disney), Michael Ronda (Soy Luna, Disney) y Lalo Brito (Buscando a Timbiriche: la nueva banda) and Farah Justiniani (La Voz Kids).
The story of “Papás por encargo” begins when, on the day of her thirteenth birthday, California (Farah Justiniani) receives an unexpected gift: the keys to a van sent to her by her mother, Itzel, who wants to meet her again in Zacatecas, later of his enigmatic and prolonged disappearance. Miguel (Jorge Blanco), Morgan (Michael Ronda) and Diego (Lalo Brito) the three adoptive parents who now care for California, are not very convinced of the idea, but she feels that this trip will lead them to happiness: she will be able to return to see his mother and finally, they will all be together forever. This unusual family odyssey invites the audience to experience emotional, entertaining and challenging moments and will take them on a road trip with unforgettable transformation and growth with the wonderful Mexican territory as a backdrop.
The series will be recorded in a number of different locations in Mexico including Zacatecas, Mazatlán, Pátzcuaro, La Paz and Durango.
There will be 10 24 minute episodes and is being directed by Pato Safa and Javier Colinas. The show is being produced by Gabriela Valentan and has been written by Ana Sofia Clerici.
This new series will arrive on Disney+ in Latin America in early 2022.
