Disney has released a new poster for the upcoming animated movie, “Moana 2”, which is going to continue the story of Moana and Maui.   Disney has also revealed that a new trailer will be released on Wednesday.

This all-new epic animated musical is set three years after her first voyage, Moana is on an expansive journey in search of people beyond the shores of Motunui.

Joined by Maui and a brand-new crew of unlikely seafarers, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.

Check out the new poster below:

The new movie will see Auli‘i Cravalho return to provide the voice of the title role, with Dwayne Johnson also returning as the demigod, Mau.

“Moana 2” is set to be released in theatres on November 27th, 2024.   Originally, the series had been announced to be a Disney+ series, but it was decided that the project was so good that they would reformat it for a theatrical release.

Roger’s Take: With “Moana” being the most popular film on Disney+ for years, it’s not a surprise that Disney is leaning in more on “Moana 2”, as this has everything going for it, that it could become a massive hit for the holiday season.
