New Details Revealed For Star Wars Rogue One Prequel Disney+ Show
New details have been revealed by Discussing Film, about the upcoming Disney+ Star Wars series, “Cassian Andor”, which is a prequel to Rogue One. It will see Diego Luna return to the role, along with Alan Tudyk returning as the droid, K-2SO.
The new series is due to begin shooting in Europe in June 2020 and the first episode will be written by Tony Gilroy, who also helped on the reshoots for Rogue One, and he will also be directing some episodes of the new show.
This series will explore Captain Cassian Andor’s past, with flashbacks to his early days. As LucasFilm is currently looking for a 9 year old and 13 year old version of Cassian Andor, along with a 9 year old girl, which will be his sister.
Disney is currently filming a second season of the Mandalorian right now, with the Obi-Wan Disney+ series due to begin filming in July. So it might be a while until we see the Rogue One prequel on Disney+.
Are you excited for a Rogue One prequel?
I'm definitely excited. I love the more 'ground level's stories of the Rebellion vs the Empire so a spy drama with Cassian is right up my alley.
I agree with the above comment - these "small" shows are a great idea and a spy style show would be exciting. I'm looking forward to seeing this!
