Earlier this summer, Marvel Studios started filming a new series, “Daredevil: Born Again”, which sees Charlie Cox return in the role of Daredevil, Vincent D Onofrio reprising his role as the Kingpin, and Jon Bernthal also returning as Frank Castle, aka “The Punisher.”

Filming on the show was suspended when the actor’s strike began, and recently, it was revealed that Marvel Studios is overhauling the creative team behind the Disney+ series, “Daredevil: Born Again”, which saw the directors and writers removed from the project, who have been replaced by Dario Scardapane, who is going to be the showrunner/writer on the series, with Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead directing the rest of the series.

“Daredevil: Born Again” will consist of eighteen episodes, and while filming on the first half is completed, the directing and creative team will try to reuse as much footage as possible.

The duo have recently worked on Marvel’s “Moon Knight” and the second season of “Loki”.  They recently spoke with The Wrap and were asked about their role in the upcoming “Daredevil: Born Again” Disney+ series, and Justin Benson shared that:

“We have the best answer for you. So you see this space we’re in right now? This is our office and we just found out we have an office about 45 minutes ago.  And that’s what we’re at with Daredevil.”

Aaron Moorhead added that they are still researching and building their foundation, going through all the footage that’s already been shot.

“It is day zero.  We’re currently just consuming Daredevil content, not just the Netflix show but all the possible material. We’re just making our stew of information nice and thick.”

Hopefully, filming can resume on “Daredevil: Born Again” soon since the actor’s strike is now resolved, but with the creative reworking the show, it might need a little longer until that happens.

In the meantime, you can check out the “Daredevil” show on Disney+ now.  And in the New Year,  Marvel Studios will release “Echo”, featuring both Daredevil and the Kingpin!
