Today, Mcdonald’s has launched a new tie-in promotion for the upcoming second season of Marvel’s “Loki”, which is a  meal called “As Featured In”, in more than 100 countries, starring menu items that have famously appeared in movies and shows.

The menu gives customers a choice of a Big Mac, Quarter Pounder with Cheese or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, along with some fries, a beverage and Sweet & Sour Sauce, which is inspired by Marvel Studios’ “Loki” Season 2, which is streaming from October 6th on Disney+.

The menu will also include will co-star exclusive merch and never-before-seen content.   There is also going to be a themed AR experience on Snapchat, where fans scan the newly branded Sweet N’ Sour Sauce lid on Snapchat, they will unlock custom content developed by Marvel Studios exclusively for McDonald’s fans, with new content available weekly throughout the promotion.

The new series picks up in the aftermath of the shocking season finale when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15, and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous Multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes, and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose

The new commercial showcases many shows and films that have featured McDonalds including:

The “As Featured In” meal is available starting August 14th for a limited time on the McDonald’s app, in-restaurant and via the Drive Thru at participating restaurants while supplies last.

“Loki” season 2 will be released on Disney+ on October 6th 2023, with a new episode being released weekly.
