Multiple “Transformers” Movies Coming To Disney+ In Many Countries
In the past few months, we’ve seen many licensed films from Paramount released on Disney+ in many countries around the world, with multiple “Mission: Impossible” movies added in countries such as the UK, Canada and Australia, as a way of promoting the new movie, “Mission: Impossible: The Final Reckoning”.
We’ve also seen many popular Paramount films, including “Grease” and “Mean Girls”, added to Disney+ in many countries and now Disney has announced that a batch of movies from the iconic “Transformers” franchise will be heading to Disney+ in the UK, Canada and Australia in July on Wednesday 16th July 2025.
The movies being added include the first five “Transformers” movies, including “Revenge Of The Fallen”, “Dark Side Of The Moon”, “Age Of Extinction” and “The Last Knight”, plus the spin-off prequel, “Bumblebee”. Sadly, the most recent “Transformers” movies aren’t included in the bundle of movies offered.
Unfortunately, it also appears that Disney+ subscribers in the UK will only have access to a limited selection of the “Transformers” movies, likely due to other licensing deals in place.
Here’s a look at the movies coming to Disney+:
Transformers
Autobots and Decepticons, races from outer space, engage in a humongous and fierce battle on planet Earth. The Autobots enlist the help of a teenager, Sam, to win the battle against the Decepticons.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Sam wants to lead a normal life in college but he has visions of Cybertronion symbols. Meanwhile, an ancient threat marshals the rest of the Decepticons in order to avenge their earlier defeat.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon
The Autobots discover their lost leader Sentinel Prime and an invention capable of ending the war between them and the Decepticons, only to realize that they have been betrayed to their enemies.
Transformers: Age Of Extinction
The sentient Autobots from the planet Cybertron receive help from Cade Yeager, an unsuccessful inventor, and a team of humans as a bounty hunter and an elite CIA black ops unit try to apprehend them.
Transformers: The Last Knight
Quintessa brainwashes Optimus Prime and heads to Earth to search for an ancient staff. Cade, Bumblebee and the Autobots race against time to find it, while also escaping an anti-Transformers force.
Bumblebee
During the Cybertron Civil War, Optimus Prime sends Autobot scout B-127 to Earth to form a base where they can regroup. Later, the scout befriends a girl named Charlie, who names him Bumblebee.
Roger’s Take: As a massive “Transformers” fan, I don’t need any excuse to rewatch these movies again and it’s clear that Paramount have changed its policy on licensing out content, especially given the financial state of the company as it goes through its merger with Skydance. For Disney+ subscribers, the addition of licensed content is a win-win, since it offers more choice and something a little different, even if it’s only for a limited time.
